Palma to Soller Railway

The station at the Palma end. The 17 mile narrow gauge line to Soller was built around 1912 and electrified in 1929. The rolling stock is best described as quaint and the line apparently survives due to the number of tourists travelling on it each year.

It was quite fascinating to see how quickly the train travelled through the streets of Palma before reaching the countryside due to the obvious sequence of traffic lights in it's favour.
