Kawakawa
The public toilets at Kawakawa near Paihia were built in 1999 and are unlike anything else I have seen that provide the same facilities!
The structure comprising a grass roof and is decorated using gold balls, ceramic and mosaic tiles, bottle glass windows, copper handwork, cobblestone flooring, individual sculptures and a living tree.
