Burns Night Supper, 23rd January 2007
Grateley Village Hall provided the natural setting for this year's Grateley Scottish Dancing 'Burns Supper'. The event was a triumph of team work from the ladies, including Anne, Linda, Lois and Lorraine, with male support coming from Jim, Stuart and Walter.

I apologise if I have left any names out, in which case please e-mail me soonest before I get a stern telling off from the team!

The cuisine was to the usual high standards, complemented of course by the 'Addressing the Haggis' ceremonially performed by the toastmaster, Walter at the start of the function.

The band were in fine form that night, lead by Jim Gilbert and supported by Dave, John and Dave (on Fiddle). Other entertainment was provided by Rhoda who sang some lovely Scottish numbers and yours truly who played three pieces on the keyboard (not Scottish!).

A total of 36 people attended the supper and helped to make it another memorable event. Can't wait until next year!

And now look at the pictures in the gallery above!

Update: 22nd February 2007
Although not a Burns Supper night picture, one of many birthdays celebrated at Scottish Dancing was that of Shirley Hayward. I happened to have my camera with me that evening so I have added a photo of her being presented with a cake by her husband, Mick, to this gallery.
