Introduction
Added 27/05/2012
These photographs were taken during a delightful walk along the River Exe in May 2012.  The blue sky and hot sunny day made the walk all the more enjoyable as it accentuated colour and made everything look more vibrant.

We covered a five mile part-section of what is known as the ‘Exe Estuary Trail’ starting at Ebford and finishing at Exmouth, passing through the villages of Exton and Lympstone along the way.  The full trail when completed will enable cyclists and walkers to cover a stretch of around twenty-six miles either side of the Exe Estuary from Exmouth to Exeter on the eastern side and Exeter to Dawlish on the western side.

The Exe Estuary is noted for its natural environment providing a safe haven for a range of wildlife and migratory birds that visit it each year.  The panoramic scenery is further enhanced by the tidal changes, which adds to the delight and interest of this Trail that is only a matter of a few miles from my home.
