Introduction
Part of our holiday included a six day land tour from Seward to Denali National Park during the period 9th - 15th July 2004.

Fairview InnDay 6 (Talkeetna to Anchorage)
The last full day of this tour was spent rather lazily with a visit to the town for a good breakfast and to explore the nearby area. With the sun beating down it worked up a thirst which got suitably satisfied at the Fairview Inn!

During the afternoon we all met back at the lodge to travel the short distance to Talkeetna Station from where we boarded the Wilderness Express to Anchorage.

I can't recall too much of the scenery on the way back as like most of my fellow travellers, we had quickly assembled into the restaurant to get tucked into an excellent dinner, with some excellent wine and chat - I went for the prime rib-steak, it was juicy, succulent and the size of a draft horses hoof!

The rest of the journey was spent back on the upper level where chat gave way to Elvis putting in an appearance with a great unaccompanied performance, followed by an excellent interpretation from Bob of the wide mouthed frog joke and then just before entering Anchorage - moose! moose!! had everyone reaching for their cameras. Sure enough, some were finally seen to be in the woods close to the railway line.

Without a doubt, the post cruise Tour 17 would be remembered by all for the friendliness of the forty travellers and numerous Celebrity staff and the enjoyment shared during our six day journey.
